An Upper and a Lower
The upper layer has room for two trumpets
They call out in long phrases, abruptly cut short.
The lower layer has horn and trombone wrestling with a tuba
The expression is raw and messy, the instruments just have to stick to it.
It’s short, powerful and possibly beautiful.
