As a child, I sang a lot in the choir at Nybro Church. I loved it. Now that I am an adult, some of those hymn texts float up from time to time in my head and ask for new melodies. Rays of Light<\/em> combines two poems of enormous simplicity, depth, and beauty. Their independent melodies interweave in two-part harmony in the folk style. It is a piece about light and hope.
