The month contains a mix of nominations, awards and premieres, including an opera premiere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 1 November, the winner of the <strong>Nordic Council&#8217;s Music Prize<\/strong> will be announced during a live award ceremony from the <strong>Music House<\/strong> in Helsinki. Karin Rehnqvist&#8217;s choral and orchestral piece <em>Silent Earth<\/em> is one of the twelve nominated contributions from the Nordic music scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>November 4 will be in Hamar, Norway, the world premiere of <em>Day is here!,<\/em> for double choir, soloists and string ensemble. With <strong>Det Norske Solistkor<\/strong>, <strong>Ensemble Allegria<\/strong> under the direction of <strong>Grete Pedersen<\/strong>.<br>The piece is also performed in Fredrikstad on November 5 and in Oslo on November 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 11, <strong>the Music Publishers&#8217; Awards Gala<\/strong> (Musikf\u00f6rl\u00e4ggarna) will take place at the<strong> Grand Hotel <\/strong>in Stockholm. Here is Karin Rehnqvist&#8217;s choral work <em>Time is calling to you!<\/em>\/ <em>Tiden ropar p\u00e5 dig<\/em> (with <strong>Harry Martinson<\/strong>&#8216;s poems <em>V\u00e4rldsklockan, Natt<\/em> and <em>H\u00e5rt \u00e5skv\u00e4der<\/em>) nominated in the category <em>Art Music Prize of the Year<\/em> \u2013 Small Ensemble\/Chamber Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 19, the all-night opera <em>Strandad<\/em> finally premieres at the <strong>Royal Opera House<\/strong> in Stockholm. Libretto by <strong>Kerstin Perski<\/strong> and directed by <strong>Natalie Ringler<\/strong>. Many actors are involved in this performance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other singers are <strong>Vivianne Holmberg<\/strong>, <strong>Lena Willemark<\/strong>, <strong>Carl Ackerfeldt<\/strong>, <strong>Katarina Leoson<\/strong> and <strong>Johan Edholm<\/strong> as well as the <strong>Royal Opera&#8217;s choir<\/strong> and the Royal Opera&#8217;s orchestra, <strong>Hovkapellet<\/strong>. All under the direction of conductor <strong>Cathrine Winnes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>And at the end of October, Karin Rehnqvist will receive a surprise prize.
