Saturday<\/g> April 18, 2020, the world premiere of Karin Rehnqvist’s newest work – composed for choir and symphony orchestra<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is still without a title, and is an order from Eduard van Beinum Foundation for NTR SaturdayMatinee<\/g> <\/strong>and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra<\/strong>; (NTR is a Dutch public-service broadcaster).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first performance takes place in the Concertgebouw<\/strong>, Amsterdam.
Participants are Radio Filharmonisch Orkest<\/strong> and Groot Omroepkoor<\/strong> (where Peter Dijkstra<\/strong> is otherwise the first guest conductor). The premiere will be led by the conductor Dima Slobodeniouk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ferrol, Spain \u2013 Lahti, Finland<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Dima Slobodeniouk has held the position of Music Director of the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica de Galicia since 2013, which he combines with his more recent positions as Principal Conductor of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Sibelius Festival following his appointment in 2016. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linking his native Russian roots with the cultural influence of his later homeland Finland, he draws on the powerful musical heritage of these two countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He works with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Leipzig Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Circular, London Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, Finnish Radio Symphony, Chicago, Houston and<\/g> Baltimore as well as Sydney Symphony Orchestras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
