But here, Kristn\u00fd and composer Karin Rehnqvist turn the perspective around. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How do the women of&nbsp; the story see things, and in what way is that valid today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2019Across the sky crept the darkness, full of fangs\u2026\u2019 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, only a handful of words are needed to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Singer <strong>Lena Willemark<\/strong> and <strong>Ensemble Recherche<\/strong> from Freiburg deliver loaded chamber music drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clattering of hooves<br>on the slabs of rock<br>was like breaking of bones<br>Skirnirs voice rose<br>over dusk-covered trees<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013\u2013\u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>nine nights\u2019 worth\u00a0<br>of fear<br>one night<br>after the other<br>each worse<br>than the last<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Texts from the poem Blodhov (Bl\u00f3\u2202h\u00f3fnir, Boodhoof) by Ger\u2202ur Kristn\u00fd, translated from Icelandic into Swedish by <strong>John Swedenmark<\/strong>, adapted by Karin Rehnqvist and <strong>Svante Grogarn<\/strong>.
