Archetypal sounds, the collected echoes of shepherd girls calling in the mountains, draw nearer as the piece progresses.

The choir’s movement in the room lends the music the weight of a natural phenomenon and a spiritual profundity, culminating in wholly realistic herding calls now intermingled with the yearning undertones of the dream: Peace!
What fabulous music!

– Sverker Magnusson, Arvika Nyheter/Nya Wermlands-Tidningen

Read Karin’s programme note here ›

For the first time there was a complete performance of the choir piece When I Close My Eyes I Dream of Peace composed

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_featured_image_duplicate_dismissed":0
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[4,23

post-1309","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest","category-notes
https://i0.wp.com/karin-rehnqvist.se/eng/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/bakgr_abstr_kalendarium25namnteckn_2.jpg?fit=1200%2C643&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200
https://i0.wp.com/karin-rehnqvist.se/eng/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/bakgr_abstr_kalendarium25namnteckn_2.jpg?fit=1200%2C643&ssl=1&resize=350%2C200 1x, https://i0.wp.com/karin-rehnqvist.se/eng/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/bakgr_abstr_kalendarium25namnteckn_2.jpg?fit=1200%2C643&ssl=1&resize=525%2C300 1.5x, https://i0.wp.com/karin-rehnqvist.se/eng/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/bakgr_abstr_kalendarium25namnteckn_2.jpg?fit=1200%2C643&ssl=1&resize=700%2C400 2x, https://i0.wp.com/karin-rehnqvist.se/eng/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/bakgr_abstr_kalendarium25namnteckn_2.jpg?fit=1200%2C643&ssl=1&resize=1050%2C600 3x

https://i0.wp.com/karin-rehnqvist.se/eng/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/When-I-closeSchola-Cantorum.jpg?fit=1140%2C678&ssl=1
["GET
