My Dreamsong <\/em>was written for the Singing Children\u2019s Project:New Music for Young Voices, a project where the children are co-creators. In this piece, the children from the Nacka Music School Choir, Kvinten, contributed to creating the opening notes. We taped a large musical staff on the floor, and everyone got to stand either between or on a line. In this way we created the melody line, that acts as both introduction and ending, and which is the inspiration for the rest of the piece.
